Pressure retaining Equipment and systems with a maximum operating pressure of 15 PSIG may require a Canadian Registration Number (CRN) to legally install and operate in Canada. There are certain exemptions based on the type of fluid, pressure temperature and size of the equipment and/or Piping. The rules are defined in CSA B51, Boiler, Pressure Vessel, and Pressure Piping Code.
